Your views needed on relief guidelines

The Anglican Alliance has drawn up guidelines for posting information and appeals on behalf of Anglican agencies and churches involved in emergency relief.
The guidelines set out procedures which the Anglican Alliance plans to follow:
- To ensure that information is provided to partners around the Communion as quickly as possible.
- To enable Anglicans to make donations to support communities in crisis.
- To ensure that Anglican agency appeals are promoted around the Communion.
- To empower church to church giving.
We're consulting on the new guidelines at the moment, and if you would like to send your comments for consideration then please email them to email@example.com. The closing date to send in your comments is Monday July 2nd.
The guidelines set giving and receiving emergency aid in the context of good stewardship, to ensure partnership and accountability in place of the give and go approach that has caused problems in some emergencies.
There are also proposals for an online reporting tool to enable churches to provide information about their local emergency – and also to promote accountability in their use of emergency funds and a sustained relationship with the wider Anglican Communion.
