THE ANGLICAN ALLIANCE BRINGS TOGETHER THOSE IN THE ANGLICAN FAMILY OF CHURCHES AND AGENCIES TO WORK FOR A WORLD FREE OF POVERTY AND INJUSTICE, TO BE A VOICE FOR THE VOICELESS, TO RECONCILE THOSE IN CONFLICT, AND TO SAFEGUARD THE EARTH.

Council of Anglican Provinces in Africa

Anglican provinces in Africa come together in the Council which has been a driving force in the work to end poverty and injustice across the continent.

CAPA is based in Nairobi, along with the Anglican Alliance facilitator.

It brings together the Anglican Church in Africa "to celebrate life, consult and address challenges in the continent in order to fulfill God's promise for abundant life." This is expressed in inspirational work for peace and reconciliation, to improve governance and tackle HIV and Aids.

CAPA is a special partner for the Anglican Alliance, co-hosting our inaugural conference and a meeting on the East African famine. It is  an exemplar for co-ordinating work across other regions of the world.

You can find out more about CAPA's work through their website.
