Disaster preparedness

Good planning and training can reduce the impact of disasters in some places. The church has an important role to play in this. We can reach people in the community and help them prepare for repeat disasters.

The Church of the West Indies helps people prepare for hurricanes that regularly affect the islands. The Church in Barbados is involved in raising public awareness, promoting public education, and providing shelter.
